2) Handle Spills Quickly
Blot—don’t rub. Use a clean cloth and press from the outside toward the center of the spill. If needed, use mild soap with cold water and test on a small area first.
3) Sunlight & Humidity
Keep rugs away from harsh direct sunlight for long periods to prevent color fading. In humid areas, ensure airflow to reduce moisture buildup.
4) Deep Cleaning
For handmade carpets, consider professional cleaning periodically—especially for high-traffic areas. Avoid harsh chemicals that can weaken fibers and dyes.
